Everything you need to know about ordering your handmade birthday crown.
How does it work?
You design your crown using the builder on the site — choosing colours, a number or letter, embroidery and any extras. The live preview gives you a rough idea of how it'll look. Once you're happy, you submit your order request and I'll be in touch to confirm the details, price and timings before anything is made.
How much does a crown cost?
Crowns start from £25. The exact price depends on the options you choose (extra embroidery, the Velcro number pack, and so on). I'll confirm the full price with you before you pay anything.
What is the Velcro number pack?
It's an optional add-on (£10) that lets you swap the number on the crown — perfect if you'd like to reuse it year after year as your little one grows. You'll see the option when you choose "Number" in the builder.
How do I pay?
Once I've confirmed your order, I'll send you my bank details for a 50% deposit. Paying the deposit secures your slot and means I can start making your crown. The remaining balance is due before your crown is dispatched.
How long does it take?
Crowns are handmade to order, so please allow around 2–3 weeks from the date your deposit is paid. If you need yours for a specific date, just let me know when you order and I'll always be honest about whether it's possible.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes — you can cancel or make changes any time before I start making your crown, and I'll refund your deposit in full. Once work has begun, I'm afraid the order can't be cancelled or refunded, because each crown is personalised just for you. (This doesn't affect your rights if a crown arrives faulty — see below.)
What if my crown arrives damaged or faulty?
Please get in touch within 14 days of receiving it, with a photo if you can. If there's a genuine fault or it isn't as described, I'll put it right with a repair, replacement or refund. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 always apply.
Will my crown look exactly like the preview?
The live preview is a lovely rough guide, but every crown is handmade, so small natural variations are part of the charm. I'll always use my creative eye to make your crown look its very best.
Do you deliver, and how much is it?
Yes — I deliver across the UK. Delivery is £3.50 and usually takes 3–5 business days once your crown is finished and dispatched. I'll send tracking where available.
Can I order from outside the UK?
Not at the moment — I currently deliver within the UK only. Do follow along on Instagram, as this may change in future.
Can I request something that isn't in the builder?
Possibly! If you have a special idea, drop me a message and I'll let you know if I can make it work.
How should I look after my crown?
Spot clean gently with a damp cloth. Avoid machine washing to keep the embroidery and felt looking their best.
Can you share photos of my crown?
I love seeing my crowns out in the world! If you add your Instagram handle when ordering, I may follow you and (with your blessing) reshare any photos you post. Just let me know if you'd rather I didn't.
